About Aronson Divorces

Welcome to the Aronson Law Firm – home of GOAT divorces. What is a GOAT divorce? Well, goat marriage isn’t legal in Nevada, yet, so unmarrying actual goats is not on the table. Baaa.

GOAT generally stands for “Greatest Of All Time”. The Nevada Bar advertising rules won’t let me say I am the greatest of all time attorney, but I do aspire to provide the community with the greatest of all time divorces.

Divorce sucks, though, right? A GOAT divorce sounds like an oxymoron. Attorneys are expensive. Divorces take like a year or more, especially during COVID. You have to bring out all this dirt on each other and fight tooth and nail for every penny. You are losing the love of your life. Blah blah blah.

I can’t help you with the whole “love of your life” thing – although I would argue that you have already lost the person you thought was the love of your life & this simply frees you up to find the person who actually will be the real love of your life – but I can certainly help with the rest.

The easiest type of divorce is an uncontested divorce. Uncontested divorce is when you basically agree with your future ex on everything and all you or an attorney has to do is write up your agreement. I can do that for you. But honestly anyone can do that for you. You can do that for you. Will you or some random attorney be able to make sure you are fully protected in all aspects going forward and that your agreement is fully enforceable as intended? Maybe? Probably? I can add value to this by cost effectively and efficiently papering your agreement and covering your bases, but that is not really what differentiates GOAT divorces from regular divorces. You have already done the heavy lifting in that scenario by reaching an agreement without legal assistance.

Where I can help and what really differentiates a GOAT divorce, is that I have the legal expertise and financial knowledge and experience to help you and your lesser half figure out what actually is a fair settlement that will maximize what you each get and minimize the time and expense of the divorce process. Tell me what there is, show me some documents, and I’ll find the “correct” answer, or range of answers, to what you are each entitled to under the law and help you reach a fair resolution somewhere within that range.

I have 8 years of experience with 2 of the finest family law firms in Las Vegas, doing financial analysis and other work on cases ranging from pro bono (not much financial analysis) to several 9-figure clients (lots of financial analysis). My favorite part of that work, though, was to find the correct answer. Yes, it can be fun to find the best answer for your client and come up with creative arguments to support it, but the part for me that really makes me happy is finding the right answer and reaching amicable settlement at that right answer.

Have kids? Great. I have kids, too. We can trade. Just kidding – you cannot have my kids, but you can have my legal expertise, including my parenting coordinator training, and knowledge of what does and does not work and how parents can work together to coparent for the benefit of their children.

The New Nevada Child Support Law – Winners, Losers & Charts

Noted child support expert Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson once lyrically opined, “Have a baby by me, baby, be a millionaire.” For a long time in Nevada, that advice did not hold. Child support was capped at a presumptive maximum amount of under $1,200 per month per child,...

What I’m Thankful for this Holiday Season: DIVORCE
